BIO

Hank Bull was born at Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary) and lives with gratitude on the traditional and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations (Vancouver). In 1973, he joined the Western Front Society, where he explored radio art, cabaret performance, shadow theatre, video, publishing and curatorial practice. As a participant in global art networks, he collaborated on early explorations in telecommunications. He has contributed to the development of artist-directed economies of exchange and produced numerous international projects. Throughout a long career, he has continued to make art in a range of media, including painting, photography, video, music, and sound. His works are in major museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art and Museum Ludwig in Cologne, Germany.
