BIO
Ryan Quast’s process for building his objects consists of a repetitive cycle of painting, allowing the paint to dry, sanding and carefully molding the individual pieces. Several pieces that Quast has created has taken him many months to several years to produce. Educated at the Chelsea School of Art (London, UK) and a graduate of Emily Carr University in Vancouver, Quast first exhibited these paint objects in 2003 at the Helen Pitt Gallery in the exhibition, Strange Agencies, curated by Ron Tran. He is represented by Wil Aballe Art Projects and participated at Art Toronto 2016.
